Video files must be stored on a local hard drive in order for Studio to be able to reopen them; if the files are moved after being placed in a project, Studio will not be able to find the files, and the clips will not be able to be loaded into the project. It is recommended that you use a dedicated folder to store your video files on your hard drive; do not move or delete your video files until you are finished with your project and are sure you no longer need them.

By default, Studio creates a video storage file in My Documents\Pinnacle\Studio\Captured Video.
