Memory Error When Launching Painter 6.1 on Windows 2000

Painter 6.0 PC
 
On launch of Painter 6.1 on a Windows 2000 system an error appears stating "Not enough memory to launch this application....."

User has 500mb of physical RAM.u

Change the virtual memory settings.

1. Right click on My Computer and select Properties.

2. Click on the Advanced tab.

3. In the Performance section, click on Performance Options

4. In the Virtual Memory section, make note of 'the total paging file size for all drives'. THIS SHOULD NOT EXCEED 1.5 times the actual physical RAM on the system. If it does click change and set the Initial size to no larger than 1.5 times the physical RAM on the system. Change the Maximum size to 3 times the physical RAM.M
