Is it possible to print the QuickCorrect list in WordPerfect 8?n
Yes, it is possible. To print the QuickCorrect list you need to use the Speller Utility file WTSPTLEN.EXE, to convert the WT80US.UWL (QuickCorrect list) file to a WordPerfect 8 document.
Steps to convert the file: 1. In WordPerfect from a blank screen click on Tools | Spell Check... 2. Answer NO to close the Spell Checker 3. In the Speller Window click on Options | User Word Lists... 4. Make sure WT80US.UWL is highlighted in the Word Lists section 5. Half way down in the box look at Contents of:, write down the full path to the WT80US.UWL 6. Click Close in the Word Lists box, then click Close in the Speller Window to close the WP Speller, then exit WordPerfect 7. Insert the Corel WordPerfect 8 CD (if Auto insert notification is turned on, close the WordPerfect autorun screen when it opens). 8. In the Windows 95 desktop, click on Start | Find | Files or Folders... 9. In the Find box, in the Named: section, type WTSPTLEN.EXE 10. In the Find box change the Look in: section to your CDROM drive 11. Click Find Now 12. In the lower section of the Find box the file WTSPTLEN.EXE will be highlighted when Find is finished 13. Double click on WTSPTLEN.EXE 14. The Spell Utility program is launched, click on the Convert tab 15. Click on the list under Conversion Type: and select "WP 8 User Word List to WP 8 Document" 16. Under Source File Name: type the full path and name of the WT80US.UWL, you recorded in step 5 17. Under Destination File Name: type any path and name you want, (i.e. C:\MYFILES\QUCIKCORRECTLIST.WPD) 18. Click on Convert at the bottom, the file is automatically converted 19. Exit/Close the Spell Utility program by clicking on the X in the upper right corner 20. In WordPerfect open the QUCIKCORRECTLIST.WPD file created in step 17 21. Part of the information is from the abbreviations section of QuickCorrect 22. The QuickCorrect items will appear this way: acsesory \=accessory note the incorrect word on a line by itself and the correction word on the next line 23. Press Ctrl+Home to move to the top of the list, then click on Edit | Find and Replace | Match | Codes 24. In the Codes box, highlight [HRt] and click Insert and close then type the \ (back slash) immediately after the [HRt] code 25. Press TAB to move to the Replace with: box and press the space bar followed by the \ (back slash) 26. Click Replace All, this will place each of the QuickCorrect words on one line...You're Done! Tips: You can sort the list using Tools | Sort | Line Sort. You can turn on Newspaper columns to get more words on one page
