Error 1706 when booting the machine

After installing WordPerfect Office 2002 and rebooting, I receive the error message: "The Feature You Are Trying to Use Is on a Network Resource That Is Unavailable" or "Error 1706" on boot

1. Click Start, Run .

2. In the Open box, type MMC and then click OK .

3. Add the Group Policy snap-in.

4. Click the + next to Local Computer Policy

5. Click the + next to Computer Configuration

6. Click the + next to Administrative Templates

7. Click the + next to Windows Components and click on Windows Installer

8. Double-click the "Enable user to browse for source while elevated" policy.

9. Click Enabled and place a checkmark next to "Check to force this setting on"

10. Click OK.

11. Double-click "Enable user to use media source while elevated"

12. Click Enabled and place a checkmark next to "Check to force this setting on"

13. Click OK

14. Close the program an restart the computer.

On profile-based operating systems (Windows NT/2000/XP), not all users have the ability to make modifications to the machine. In these cases, the update to a non-administrative user's profile is prohibited without alterations to the Local Group Policy.
