How can I sort dates in a table using the format dd/mm/yy?

Is it possible to sort dates in a table using the format dd/mm/yy?W

The date format dd/mm/yy can be sorted with a custom sort with two additional keys. It will be a Sort By Line and the first key will be associated to Word 3, the second key to Word 1 and the third key to Word 2.i

Steps to follow to set up your sort:

1. Highlight the column containing your dates.

2. Click Tools, Sort, Options...

3. Put a checkmark beside the option

"Allow undo after sorting"

4. Click New and type Dates for your Sort description

5. Mark the radio button Lines for your Sort By options.

6. Under Keys (sorting rules), click twice on the button Add Key at End

7. Change the type from Alpha to Numeric for all 3 keys

8. Sort Order can be changed to Descending if preferred.

9. The Field keys stay as Field 1 for all 3 keys

10. Key 1, change Word 1 to 3

11. Key 2, leave as is.

12. Key 3, change Word 1 to 2.

13. Click OK.

14. Click Sort.o
