The version of GhostScript (8.64) available alongside CorelDRAW Graphics Suite or Technical Suite (X7 and newer) as an optionally installable module is not required to operate the software.

Ghostscript is used in CorelDRAW Graphics Suite to support importing PostScript (Level 3) files. For more information, see the PostScript (PS or PRN) technical notes section of CorelDRAW Help.

Ghostscript 8.64 can be (de)selected as an optional component during the installation. Due to the discovered vulnerability with GhostScript releases below version 10.01.2, our recommendation is to uninstall that component if it has been installed with CorelDRAW Graphics Suite or Technical Suite and not select it for installation when installing the new CorelDRAW Graphics Suite or Technical Suite.

If you would like to take advantage of the optional enhanced support when importing PostScript files with Ghostscript into CorelDRAW, we recommend installing the latest version of Ghostscript (10.01.2 or later) separately to take into account any available security updates.
