Frequently Asked Questions
Membership and Subscription Acquisition and Renewal
Whats the difference between Subscription and Membership?
Subscription is a payment method, effectively allowing you to rent CorelDRAW Graphics Suite for a fixed period of time (with renewals if desired). Once your subscription expires, you will no longer be able to use the software. Membership is an additional offering for owners of CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6, entitling them to additional benefits such as online access to digital content, new product features, etc.
How do I upgrade from a 30 day to a 365 day subscription?
This can only be done from within your corel.com account. To purchase a renewal subscription within your active subscription period, you must sign into your account on corel.com, then click the Membership and Subscription link, select the Upgrade button, and select the 365 day subscription option while going through the purchase workflow.
I purchased my Subscription by calling Corel and cannot convert my trial into my CorelDRAW subscription. Why?
You must click the Already Purchased button on the trial reminder screen. If your trial is still active, you will see the trial reminder screen upon exit of the application. If your trial has expired, the reminder screen will appear on application launch. Once you have clicked the Already Purchased, button, select the "Enter Serial Number" button and enter your serial number.
Can I go from a Standard or Premium Membership to a Subscription?
No. In fact, there is no need, since having a Membership means that you already own a copy of CorelDRAW Graphics Suite. If you have a Standard Membership and wish to have full access to Premium features and content, than you should upgrade to a Premium Membership.
I have CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 installed on more than one system, and I am seeing different membership or subscription messaging in each. Why?
If you have installed CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 on multiple systems, and the same serial number and user sign-in credentials have been used on each of these systems, ensure that the most recent software update is applied to each of these systems, for a consistent product experience.
Is my credit card information kept securely?
Yes! Your credit card information is kept very secure, and for added security, is only associated with an order (e.g. Membership transaction) and not tied to you (as an individual).
How do I access my corel.com account?
You can sign in to your corel.com account by going to www.corel.com, and then clicking Sign In at the top of the page and following the instructions.
How do I turn off auto-renewal for my Membership or Subscription?
If you did not choose this option at the time of your order and wish to turn it off, you must log into your corel.com account, go to “Product Status and Subscriptions”, find the subscription and change the Renewal Type to "On Demand". Once you have turned auto-renewal off, you will be unable to turn it back on without manually purchasing a Membership or Subscription extension through your account.
How do I determine what membership/subscription level I currently have?
In your corel.com account, go to Your Account > Memberships & Subscriptions. Your Membership type will be listed, along with details of the membership, such as remaining days, expiry, product serial number associated with it, and an overview of the membership entitlements.
How do I know when my membership/subscription is due for renewal?
In your corel.com account, go to Your Account > Memberships & Subscriptions. The remaining number of days will be indicated for your Membership, as well as your renewal date.
Can I use a Redeem Code to extend my Premium Membership?
No. At this time, redeem Codes can only be used to activate or extend CorelDRAW subscriptions, not Premium Memberships.
I have already installed my product with a subscription or retail serial number, or I have already used my redeem code, and I want to install on another system. How do I do this?
You will be required to obtain your product serial number. From within CorelDRAW or Corel PHOTO-PAINT, click Help/About CorelDRAW or Help/Corel PHOTO-PAINT. The serial number will be displayed in the About… screen. Record the serial number for use in the subsequent installation. Remember that a license of CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 can only be installed on one system at a time.
Membership Features and Content Access
I don’t have an internet connection available at all times. How do I use the product features and access the online content?
As long as you have remained signed in, you will still have access to all product features even if you are offline. If you are signed out and have a CorelDRAW subscription, you will not be able to access all product features, nor will you be able to save or output your work. You must be online and signed in, however, to access the online content. We recommend that you remain signed in at all times, regardless of whether you will have internet access or not.
Why can’t I access the Standard or Premium Membership digital content through Corel CONNECT?
There are several things that you can try:
- Verify that you are signed in; If you are signed in, try signing out and signing back in.
- Go to Your Account > Memberships & Subscriptions and verify that your Membership/Subscription is not expired; If it is expired, you will need to renew it. If it is expired and you do not want to renew, you will have Standard Membership entitlements - your account status will say Premium Membership - Expired).
- Try restarting your application.
- Check your internet connection.
How do I remove the watermark from the digital content accessed through Corel CONNECT? Why is all of my content watermarked?
You must have a Standard or Premium Membership to access content that is not watermarked. Standard Membership will give you access to Standard Membership content, and Premium Membership will give you access to both Standard and Premium Membership content. If you have already obtained a Membership, make sure that you have a working internet connection and are signed into your account while using the software.
I’ve already used placeholder digital content (composite images) in my design prior to acquiring a membership (or while not signed in). How do I replace this with content that does not contain a watermark?
Once you have a valid Membership and are signed in, you can replace a composite image by right-clicking on the image, or you can click on the replace composite source button on the application property bar. You require a Premium Membership to replace the composite or watermarked image of a premium content piece.
Why can I not see the Corel CONTENT library and have access to online content?
Check to make sure you have X6.1 installed and that you have acquired a Standard or Premium Membership and that you are signed in. Go to Help | About CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 and verify that you have product build number 16.1.0.843 installed.
