In most cases Studio will automatically detect that content is in 3D format. However, there may be some cases where it does not. In these cases the media needs to be set as 3D manually. Here is how to do this:
- Double-click on the media in the Library to open it in the Media Editor.
- In the Corrections tab select the Adjustments category.
- In the Video Properties section, set the Stereoscopic 3D setting to the appropriate setting for your media.
Tip: When selecting the appropriate Stereoscopic 3D setting, you may need to try a few of the provided settings before finding the one that is right for you. The right setting depends on the source video. Try the various settings until you find the one that makes the video look “correct”. If the video looks basically correct in terms of size and shape, but does not appear properly in 3D, try the equivalent Cross-Eyed setting.
- Click OK to exit the Media Editor, this media file will now be properly identified as being 3D.
Note: Do not try this with 2D media. Even though you are allowed to change this setting with 2D media, you cannot convert 2D media to 3D. The source media must actually be 3D for this to work.
