Painter: macOS install error: "This package is incompatible with this version of macOS".

Since the update to the latest versions of the MacOS, Catalina and Big Sur, you may have noticed that installations require a few more steps to accomplish or that the following error is produced when trying to install:
 

Painter 2020 and Painter 2021 are fully compatible with this version of the MacOS. To correct this issue, try the following steps:

1. Open a new Finder window
2. Locate any previous download attempt of the ZIP, DMG or PKG file for Corel Painter 2020 and move it to the trash
3. Next, click the Go Menu then choose the Folder option
4. Type in ~/Library/Preferences
5. Locate the file com.corel.Registry.plist and move it to the trash
6. Close the finder window and open your preferred web browser
7. Navigate to www.painterartist.com/download
8. Choose to download the Painter 2020 or Painter 2021 for the Mac
9. Once downloaded, open Finder and locate the new DMG file
10. Hold the Control key down and click on the DMG file
11. In the context menu that appears, choose Open
12. In the new window, hold the Control key down and click on the PKG / APP file
13. In the context menu that appears, choose Open
14. Go through installation as normal

After the above steps are completed, Painter will be installed.
