How to manually remove Corel WinDVD 2010 (Standard or Pro)?
- Log on to a user account with administrative privileges since "Limited" or "Power User" accounts won't let Corel software install, uninstall, or run properly.
- Disable your anti-virus/spyware, and firewall during this clean re-installation procedure.
- Delete the following folders/directories:
- For Windows 32-bit: C:\Program Files\Corel\CorelWinDVD2010
- For Windows 64-bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\CorelWinDVD2010
- Go to Start >> Run and then type: regedit
- Hit the enter key to launch the Regedit utility.
- In the Regedit window, make sure that the following entries are removed:
- My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Corel\DVD10
- My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Corel\DVD10
- My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\SOFTWARE\Corel\DVD10
- My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\SOFTWARE\Corel\PCU\
- My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\5C1F18D2-F6B7-4242-B803-B5A78648185B
- My Computer\HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\5C1F18D2-F6B7-4242-B803-B5A78648185B
- Close the Regedit.
- Clean up temporary files and Recycle Bin by launching the Disk Cleanup from Start menu >> Programs >> Accessories >> System Tools >> Disk Cleanup.
- Restart your computer.
