If you encounter this error during Studio installation, please follow these steps:
1. Close the Install Manager. Open Start->All Programs->Pinnacle Studio 18, and re-launch the Install Manager from here.
Downloaded Installations:
1. Browse to your Desktop, and open the folder "PinnacleStudioSetup"
2. Find "Welcome.exe", right-click, and select Properties
3. Select the "Compatibility" tab, and check the box "Run this program in Compatibility mode" and select Windows 7 or Windows 8.
4. Click "Apply", then "OK", then restart your PC.
5. Double-Click the Welcome.exe to start your Studio installation again.
Disc Installations:
1. Browse to your DVD drive, right-click, and select "Open"
2. Copy the contents of the DVD drive, to a New Folder on your Desktop.
2. In this folder, find "Welcome.exe", right-click, and select Properties
3. Select the "Compatibility" tab, and check the box "Run this program in Compatibility mode" and select Windows 7 or Windows 8.
4. Click "Apply", then "OK", then restart your PC.
5. In the folder, Double-Click the Welcome.exe to start your Studio installation again.
