If you encounter an issue where Alpha Magic and 2D transitions do not work properly, but other transitions seem to function properly, it may be an issue with your graphics card. Make sure that you have the latest video card drives loaded from the manufacturers website.

You can determine what video card you have by checking in Device Manager. In Windows XP, right-click on the My Computer icon and selecting Properties, then select the Hardware tab then click the Device Manager button. In Windows Vista or Windows 7, click the Start button and then right click on Computer and select Properties. Click Device Manager in the left side panel in the window that appears.

To determine what video card you have, click the plus sign in front of Display Adapters in the Device Manager list. Now your video card will be displayed. To determine the manufacturer and date of the video card driver, double click on the video card name. Now click the Driver tab and you will see all the driver information including Driver Provider and Driver Date.

Here are some links to common manufacturers websites that would have driver updates available:

ATI: www.atitech.com
Nvidia: www.nvidia.com
Intel: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/default.aspx
