The NewBlue Film Effects that is being included as free gift is not appearing under the FX section in VideoStudio X9 / X9 Ultimate after the installation is complete.

When installing the NewBlue Film Effects the installation is detecting VideoStudio X9, but when continuing with the installation the plugin path is not automatically being populated.

This will cause the plugin from being installed to the VideoStudio X9 vft_plug folder even if the path is added manually.

Solution:

Copy the NewBlue Film Effects plugins to the VideoStudio X9 plugins folder manually.
