Documents with Eastern European characters are not exported correctly to .DOC format in Corel PDF Fusion

This issue only affects documents containing East European extended characters in languages such as Czech.

If you open a PDF file containing East European extended characters in Corel PDF Fusion and then export it to Word, the extended characters will become corrupted and will not display properly.

This will be addressed in a future Patch for Corel PDF Fusion.

In the meantime, the following workaround will allow the characters to be displayed properly:

You will need to have Microsoft Word installed.
Make sure that you have the Import preferences in Word set to "use Word for Layout".
Drag the Word file with the corrupted characters into PDF Fusion.
This will create an XPS file.
Save the XPS file as a PDF file in Corel PDF Fusion and then export it to .DOC (Word) format again.
The extended characters will display correctly.
