Printing Problems in CorelDRAW® with a PostScript® Printer

Try adding the PostScript® printer description (PPD) file so that CorelDRAW has a clear understanding as to what the printer is capable of doing. The PPD for the user printer can be located from the manufactures web page. For more detailed information on PPD files

  1. Click File | Print.
  2. On the General tab click Use PPD.
  3. Locate where you have saved the PPD file on your computer.
  4. Click OK and exit the print dialog box.

Note - The PPD file will remain set. As a work around the try Rasterizing the Entire Page. Because of the number of settings that can be added in a print driver, using the Rasterize Entire Page feature in CorelDRAW can help resolve many issues relating to these settings. Try the following steps to resolve this issue:

  1. Click File | Print.
  2. Click the Misc Tab.
  3. Place a check mark in the Rasterize Entire Page box (Output Resolution - The number of dots per inch (dpi) that an output device, such as an image setter or laser printer, produces. A good number to work with on a high quality image is 300 dpi.)
  4. Adjust any settings that you need to for your output, under the General tab such as paper size.
  5. Click Print.
