How to save a JPEG (.jpg) as a high quality image

If you have a Jpeg (*.jpg) from a digital camera and want to save a second copy and you want to keep all the details or best quality, then you will need to make sure that the compression factor is set to the optimum settings. 

1. After loading the photo in PaintShop Pro, click on FILE then SAVE AS.  In the SAVE AS screen, click on the OPTIONS button at the bottom right hand corner.

2. On the SAVE OPTIONS screen, under the COMPRESSION section change the COMPRESSION FACTOR to 1, which is the best settings that you can use and keep the duplicate photo the same quality as the original, then click on OK.

3. You can also select LOSSLESS ENCODING for the TYPE: under the ENCODING section.

4.  And lastly, click the OK button.
