CorelDRAW Graphics Suite and CorelDRAW Technical Suite versions 2022 and earlier: Updates, Welcome screen and Cloud command line parameters do not work properly

Command Line parameters (switches) for a Corporate deployment (Admin Image) creation are not respected in the UI of the installer.

When a Corporate deployment (Admin Image) is created without sending silently (e.g., using /q), the parameters (switches) passed are not respected in the installer UI. This results in inaccuracy in the UI and false expectation of the parameter (switch) sent being set correctly in the ‘persist.xml’ file in the deployment.

Note: As of CorelDRAW Graphics Suite and CorelDRAW Technical Suite 2022, silent command line deployments are prohibited.

Workarounds

  1. Run setup.exe directly. Select (check/uncheck) options directly in installer UI.

  1. If running a command line with parameters (switches), check/uncheck the options in the installer UI, to ensure that they are set correctly.

  1. Once Admin deploy done, edit if needed, the persist.xml value to set the parameters (switches) as desired before workstation installations. The persist.xml file is located at the root of the deployment folder. Refer to the Deployment Guide for more information on parameters/switches.

  1. If workstations are already installed from the deploy location with the incorrect settings, edit the settings in the registry on the workstation. Refer to the Deployment Guide for more information on parameters/switches.
