Windows 11/ Windows 10
- Click in the Search field at the bottom left or your screen and begin typing "Snip"
- Click the Snipping Tool app when you see it
- Click New
- Move the crosshair Snipping Tool cursor to the upper left corner of what you want to copy
- Click your left mouse button, holding it down move the cursor to the bottom right corner, and let go of the button
- Click FileSave As in the Snipping Tool window
- Send the resulting PNG file by email as an attachment
Windows 8
- Open to or change to the Start menu screen
- Even though there is no text field, begin typing "Snip"
- Click the Snipping Tool app when you see it
- Click New
- Move the crosshair Snipping Tool cursor to the upper left corner of what you want to copy
- Click your left mouse button, holding it down move the cursor to the bottom right corner, and let go of the button
- Click FileSave As in the Snipping Tool window
- Send the resulting PNG file by email as an attachment
Windows 7
- Click Start, click All Programs, and click Accessories
- Click Snipping Tool
- Move the crosshair Snipping Tool cursor to the upper left corner of what you want to copy
- Click your left mouse button, holding it down move the cursor to the bottom right corner, and let go of the button
- Click FileSave As in the Snipping Tool window
- Send the resulting JPG file by email as an attachment
