Pinnacle Studio: Pinnacle Studio 20 - No Preview

If you are experiencing issues with the No Preview in Pinnacle Studio 20, please follow the instructions below:

Please download and install 'Microsoft DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010)' from link below:

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109
  1.  Run downloaded 'directx_Jun2010_redist.exe' file and extract contents in a folder(e.g. DX) on your desktop.
  2. Go to the folder and run DXSETUP.exe by right clicking on it then select 'Run as administrator'.
Once above installed, restart system and follow the steps below:
  1. Press Windows + R keys together to get Run command box. 
  2. In the available field type (or copy and paste) %localappdata% and press enter key.
  3. Then rename the Pinnacle folder to Pinnacle.old and Pinnacle_Studio_20 folder to Pinnacle_Studio_20.old
  4. Launch Studio 20 and apply following setting:
  5. Set 'Hardware Acceleration' type as 'None' from Setup(from within Studio) > Control Panel > Export and Preview.
