VideoStudio Pro X4 freezes, crashes or simply cannot import the (.mp4) file from GoPro HD.

Solution:
1. To fix this, you will need to replace the old ulmp4lib.dll with a new ulmp4lib.dll from the VSX4 program folder. The ulmp4lib.dll file is inside the Gopro mp4 hotfix.zip file. You can download the Gopro mp4 hotfix.zip from the file attachment below, save it to a folder that you can easily locate like the DESKTOP or the default DOWNLOAD folder.

2. After downloading, unzip the file and keep the folder where the new ulmp4lib.dll are located. Open a new Windows Explorer, then open the VideoStudio Pro X4 program folder, using the path for specified OS below.

32-bit Windows OS:
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Pro X4

64-bit OS (Windows XPVista/ Windows 7):
C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Pro X4

NOTE: You can also open the RUN box the copy and paste the folder path above on the OPEN box then click on OK, this will immediately open the VideoStudio Pro X4 program folder.

3. Once you are on the VideoStudio Pro X4 program folder, scrolldown and locate the current ulmp4lib.dll, right-click on it then select RENAME, change the name from ulmp4lib.dll to ulmp4lib.dll_old.

4. Once you are done renaming the file, go to the folder where the new “ulmp4lib.dll” is located then right click on the file then select COPY, then go back to the VideoStudio Pro X4 program folder, right-click on any empty space inside the VideoStudio Pro X4 program folder then select paste.
